Anna identifies as deaf. The differences in her sound realities with and without hearing aids creates a unique relationship with technology and a curiosity on how we receive information with our senses. She focuses intensely on shadows, reflections, body language, and lip reading.

Anna is interested in sharing her individual perspective as a Deaf dancer and choreographer into the Contemporary Dance scene.

Effective communication through movement is in connection with the environment around it. She uses choreography to understand how the design of our built environments influences the ways in which people convey information with each other- forming connections or disconnections.
